It may not have been Rio de Janeiro but about 100 of the village's residents dressed in the national colour of the countries they represented for the day and gave it their all in a number of different disciplines.
Organiser and resident Geoff Williamson said the idea behind the day, named the Limpics, was to get the residents out of their homes and have a bit of fun.
''We had lots of laughs and we were very lucky with the weather for the day.''
Sports included underwater swimming, mobility scooter races and paper dart throwing.
The day was finished off with a display of ''unsynchronised'' swimming, Mr Williamson said.
