Interim reports on two fatal helicopter crashes earlier this year are due to be made public by the Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC) this afternoon.
The reports will be presented by chief commissioner Jane Meares and will detail progress on the investigations into the causes of the crashes of a Robinson R44 helicopter in Stevensons Arm, Lake Wanaka, on July 21, and of a Hughes 369D near Wanaka Airport on October 18.
The pilots were brothers Matthew and Nick Wallis, both of Wanaka, who died in the crashes.
TAIC senior communications adviser Simon Pleasants said the interim reports would not include ''findings''.
''All evidence and the role it may have played in the accident sequence is subject to further investigation.
''The commission is yet to complete its inquiry into this accident, and the information contained in the commission's final report may differ from the information contained in this interim report.''
