Gold medal standard

Wanaka "artisan chocolatier" Tanja Schwindt, who owns the Chocolate Workshop, has won a gold medal at the New Zealand Chocolate Awards for her "passionfruit bonbons".

Ms Schwindt has been in business for six years, and said this week it was the first time she had entered and that she was most surprised to win a gold medal in the filled chocolate section.

The bonbons take three days to make.
