An exhibition that began as a snapshot of life in Bannockburn has spread to Luggate.

Impressed by a collection of photographs and accompanying information sheets about Bannockburn residents, Luggate resident Yvonne Perkins set to work on something similar for her town.

The results — "Luggate: Our People Our Place" — now adorns the walls of Luggate’s new community hall.

Seven photos show residents in their most familiar surroundings — Graham Godby with his gemstone collection, Jill Taylor surrounded by knitting wool and the members of the Luggate Fire Brigade in their fire station.

Opening the exhibition recently, Ms Perkins thanked Bannockburn writer Jan Hawkins and photographer Tim Hawkins for supporting the Luggate project.

"It has always been an important aim for us to showcase a wide cross-section of the people who live here today, both young and old, and the diversity of things they do in this place."

She expected the photographs and the information would hang in the hall for several years, and that the process could then be repeated.
