Monday will mark the start of the final stage in the long and costly consent process for the proposed lakeside Wanaka Watersports Facility.
Evidence supporting the resource consent application for the facility will be presented to the Environment Court by the Wanaka Watersports Facility Trust on Monday.
Resource consent for the controversial facility was approved by independent commissioners Bob Nixon and David Clarke in July but the decision was appealed by the Save Wanaka Lakefront Reserves Society.
The society will present its evidence to the court on January 30.
Both groups have been asking for donations to help raise the estimated $100,000 needed to help with the appeal process.
The Queenstown Lakes District Council will present its evidence to the court on January 13.
During the resource consent hearing the council's planner Sarah Picard advised the commissioners to refuse the consent.
The Environment Court hearing has been set for March 20.
