Team’s dedication pays off

The team's company, MakerBox, delivers DIY boxes to children which contain the materials and instructions to create projects.

MakerBox chief executive Benjamin McIntyre, who also won Southland Young Enterpriser of the Year, said winning the regional final could open some doors for his team in the future.

''It just shows that all the hard work throughout the year and dedication has definitely paid off,'' he said.

The team won $1150 in cash prizes which would be reinvested into the business, he said.
