Person cut from car in Invercargill crash

A person had to be cut from a car after an early morning crash in Invercargill.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said two crews from Invercargill and Kingswell were called to Hughes Rd in New River Ferry at 5.07am today.

A person had crashed their car into a ditch and needed to be cut out, the spokesman said.

Firefighters were at the scene for about an hour and a half.
