Three cars were set alight in Invercargill early today in what police believe are suspicious fires.
A police spokesman the cars were found engulfed in flames behind a building in Sydney St, Windsor, about 4.30am.
Fire crews attended first, then called police when it became apparent the blazes were suspicious, the spokesman said.
The case has been handed to the criminal investigation branch.
