Motorists have been warned to be careful of flooding in Southland as river levels continue to rise.
Waiarikiki Road and Frazer Road, east of Wyndham, are being closed because of flooding, and further rain is forecast.
The Oreti, Mataura and Waikaia Rivers are still rising, and roads in these areas will be monitored tonight and over the next few days.
