Oyster lovers will need to wait until Monday to have their first taste of the season.
Barnes Oysters manager Graeme Wright said strong westerly winds prevented any oysters being harvested yesterday, the first day of the season.
"Some boats went out but the sea was too rough. The swell was probably four to five metres.''
