Digger catches fire at Bluff port

A digger caught fire in a ship at the Bluff port this evening.

Firefighting crews were sent from Bluff and Invercargill about 9.15pm and contained the fire, a Fire and Emergency NZ spokeswoman said.

It had been mostly dealt with when they arrived, she said.

The fire did not spread through the ship.
