Survey of residents starts

The Clutha District Council begins its latest resident satisfaction survey today.

The telephone survey will be conducted by a third-party company, and run for up to three weeks.

Mayor Bryan Cadogan said resident participation was important and appreciated.

"Council only exists to reflect our residents' wishes, and our primary barometer to our performance is to ask residents what they think,'' he said.

Topics covered would include a wide range of council services, including roads, public toilets, libraries and more, as well as general council performance.

Results were expected by December 13.
