The 15th annual Clutha Super Masters Games last week attracted competitors from throughout the district to take part in five events - skittles, quoits, twister throw, floor netball and darts - over two hours.
Held in the Balclutha War Memorial Hall, the games are designed for senior citizens, and aimed at providing a fun and light-hearted competition.
Pictured carrying the torch and leading the grand parade are Andy Adams, of Sport Otago, and Clutha equestrian Jenny Affleck bearing the New Zealand flag.
Super Masters Games president Keith Wardell, who took over the reins from Harry Peggie earlier this year, said the games were a highlight of the social calendar for many participants.
Irene Guthrie (96), of Lawrence, and Robin Byers (92), of Milton, were pronounced the oldest competitors.
