Clutha district residents will get a chance to rate their local council's performance in an annual resident survey starting next week.
A telephone survey, to be conducted by Research First on behalf of the Clutha District Council, will be held over the next two to three weeks.
Council senior policy analyst Larissa Brown said the survey will give residents a chance to tell the council what they think about a wide range of its services and rate its overall performance.
''We will see if its library services once again receive a perfect score like in last year's survey,'' Mrs Brown said.
Residents will also be able to rate a range of other services such as roads, public toilets and playgrounds.
She encouraged people to participate as the results played a valuable role in the council's planning.
''[The survey will] let us know where we're performing well and where we need to do better.''
She said the survey sought to achieve a representation of residents across townships and rural areas, as well as a variety of age groups. It would take about 10 minutes to complete.
Residents will be called at random on weekdays between 3pm and 8pm as well as between 10am and 5pm during weekends.
