Pair sought after Balclutha theft

Police are seeking to identify two men afer electronic items were taken from a Balclutha store.


Senior Constable Tanya Grant, of Balclutha, said the pair went into Johnstone Electrical in Clyde St last Saturday morning (July 8).

While one of them diverted staff, the other removed a Digitech radio and car event camera from the shelves. He placed the items in a reusable Countdown shopping bag and left the store, police believe.

Snr Const Grant said the man was of slim build and wore a blue puffer jacket with a grey hat and trousers.

He was described as about 35 years old and 176cm tall. (5ft 8in)

The Southern District Police Facebook page has posted photos of the alleged offenders captured by camera footage at the store.
