Luck of the green

Balclutha Golf Club members  Paul Mineur (left) and Fraser Morrison try their Irish luck in a special golf tournament to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Balclutha yesterday.

Mr Mineur dyed his beard bright green while others,  such as Mr Morrison, wore leprechaun hats. 

Course convener Charlie Ollerenshaw said the tournament was splendid and  50 players took part.

"It was all about having a fun day and entertaining members and anyone else that wanted to come and play."

The tournament ended with a social meal and entertainment provided by an Irish band.
