The couple were nominated for giving their time to help others out in the community when they can.
They take on dog-walking, cat-feeding and mail retrieval when their neighbours are away, and they drive their friends into town to do grocery shopping and for appointments.
The pair always make time for others, alongside being grandparents, and are humble, unbiased and tireless in their efforts, their nominator said.
