Local Legend: June Caldwell

This week’s recipient of the Silver Fern Farms Local Legend is Milton Foodbank co-ordinator June Caldwell, for her work with the foodbank across the Bruce district.

Her nominator said she was an "empathetic" person who worked for the community selflessly.

"We are very grateful and lucky to have her in our Milton community."

Mrs Caldwell thanked the community and Silver Fern Farms for their generosity both to her and the foodbank.

"Without the wider community we couldn’t do what we do, so a big thank you."

She said she liked lamb, and would share her prize with her family — with traditional mint sauce — towards Christmas.
