A book featuring the wartime diaries of a Southland soldier and the travels of his daughter will be launched in Owaka today.
Papatowai woman Mary Sutherland has put together her father Jack Bickley's experiences and her travels with husband Fergus, to produce two books in one - Please Send Home, and Far From Home and Family.
One story is read from the front cover, and the book can be turned around to read the second story in from the back.
The illustrated book will be available at a book-launch gathering at the Owaka Museum at 2pm today.
