For the sixth annual event on Saturday 450 cars were parked at the local rugby grounds, before more than 200 of them were driven by owners on a cruise to Kaka Point and back.
Committee secretary Louise McLaren said the event was well attended, despite undesirable weather.
It was overcast with a bit of a breeze, but luckily most of the rain held off until the run, he said.
"It’s definitely growing every year. It went really, really well.
"The public has been massively supportive ... [They were] looking around, buying things from stalls."
Types of cars ranged from hot rods, vintage and classic cars to newer Japanese concept vehicles, she said.
"I think everyone likes to get them out there, polish them and show them off."
Enthusiasts from Bluff to Christchurch brought their vehicles over for the event, she said.
It was unknown how much was raised yet, but proceeds would go to Clutha Marching and the Kaka Point Surf Life Saving Club.
Murray Jenkinson, of Queenstown, won best overall car with his 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS Gullwing.
