Break-in at Balclutha ambulance building

Police are investigating after someone got into the Balclutha St John ambulance headquarters about Anzac Day.

Sergeant Martin Bull, of Balclutha, said between April 25 and 26 a person broke into lockers and cupboards, but it appeared nothing had been taken.

Also stolen from the area was a pair of large red and yellow ornamental pencils from St Joseph Primary School between April 22 and April 25.

They were part of a display outside the school and were now probably in someone's bedroom, Sgt Bull said.

Police inquiries were continuing.
