The Clutha District Council decided yesterday beams from the Tuapeka Mouth pedestrian bridge should be made available to the Lawrence-Tuapeka Community Board for the Gabriel's Gully walking track - should it need them.

Tuapeka River Gold Trail spokesman Roger Hodgkinson said the beams could have been be used in a bridge as a memorial to Tuapeka miners.
