Officers facing charges include a North Otago officer, who was suspended in September last year on indecent assault charges, and a Gore officer charged with fraud. Both relate to incidents last year.
Two Dunedin officers are awaiting trial in the Dunedin District Court on assault charges after they allegedly punched a man while he was being arrested in March last year.
Another southern officer, whose identity and charges are suppressed, is also still before the district court.
A Central Otago-based officer has been stood down from duties for 30 days while police complete an internal investigation into unspecified allegations.
All the officers were on full pay while stood down or suspended.
Southern police district operations manager Inspector Lane Todd said the North Otago officer was suspended in late September immediately the allegation was made.
He declined to comment further while the matter was before the court.
