Rose of Tralee regional entrants ready themselves for a weekend of selection activities including having a go at ClipnClimb at Stadium Southland yesterday.

Proudly claiming their Irish heritage and representing their regions are (front to back) Tarrah Shirley (Southland), Meadow Bodkin-Allen (Invercargill), Sadhbh Ní Chathasaigh (Central Otago), Angelina Cottrell (Auckland), Meagan Heffernan (Waikato), Olivia Scott (North Taranaki), Emily Poole (North Canterbury), Harriette Boucher (Wellington), Keely O’Grady (Canterbury),Whitney Burfield-Tatofi (South Canterbury), and Abigail Landsborough (South Taranaki).

One of the 11 Rose of Tralee entrants will be named as the national winner at a special event at the stadium tonight. The lucky winner will go on to represent New Zealand at the Rose of Tralee International Festival in Ireland this August.

"We are hosting the Rose of Tralee event in Invercargill because Kelsi Wallace, who was from Southland, won the 2023 event and went on to become New Zealand’s ambassador last year", said Rose of Tralee committee chairwoman Laura Morrison.
