Most roads throughout the Otago region are open after relatively mild over night temperatures left roads wet, leaving only a few trouble spots this morning.
The Central Otago Dictrict Council said there would be fog in some areas and drivers should take care in shaded spots which may be slippery.
A Queenstown Lakes District Council spokesman said "ice, grit and possible fog are reported in the Kawarau Gorge and there is grit on the Crown Range. ice is also likely over the Lindis Pass."
