Three tourists were given pre-charge warnings by Queenstown Police after being caught with LSD tablets and cannabis.
The Australian man (32) and two German women (18 and 19) were approached by officers on Church St at 12.50am on Saturday.
Constable Mark Gill, of Queenstown, said: ''The male was observed to throw a small plastic bag on the ground, which contained cannabis.''
Officers searched the group and found another small amount of cannabis and three LSD tablets.
The group were arrested but dealt with by way of pre-charge warnings.
Meanwhile, two Queenstown men were processed for drink-driving in separate incidents over the weekend.
Officers found a local man (33) sitting in a stationary car on Dublin St at 3.45am on Saturday. He was breath-tested, with a reading of 882mcg.
The legal limit is 250mcg.
Earlier that morning, at 12.05am, another local man (24) was stopped on Camp St. His level was allegedly 443mcg.
Both men are due to appear in Queenstown District Court next Monday.
