State Highway 6 between Frankton and Kingston was down to one lane near the Devil's Staircase after a truck caught fire this afternoon.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said the fire was out by the time fire appliances from Frankton and Arrowtown reached the scene.
The truck, which caught fire about 2.30pm, was blocking the northbound lane.
