Almost two years of hard work paid off yesterday for students graduating from the Queenstown Resort College.

Just over 100 students graduated from the Queenstown Resort College at an event which included a parade through the central business district.

Those watching the parade viewed a sea of red as students donned their Sunday best under graduation robes.

Mr Phillips said it was great to see the culmination of 21 months of hard work.

‘‘It doesn’t get any better than seeing young people achieve good things.’’

Graduate Shayle Nicolay-Barnes, originally from the Bay of Islands, had nothing but praise of her time at the college.

‘‘I 100% recommend this course. You meet lots of people, you have a lot of fun and the skills are very practical.’’
