Sewer work progressing

Trenching and laying is well under way on the combined gravity sewer that will connect Cardrona Village, Cardrona Alpine Ski Resort and the Mount Cardrona Station subdivision with the headworks of the Cardrona wastewater treatment plant.

Queenstown Lakes District Council spokesman Jack Barlow said it was not a council project as such but was related. “QLDC’s construction of the village pump station, gravity sewer and pressure sewer lines has not yet begun but, as advised, will start this November and will be operational by May 2021,” Mr Barlow said.
