A commercial jetboat has crashed in the Kawarau River near Queenstown.
It was carrying 23 passengers when it was involved in an incident about 1km above the AJ Hackett bungy bridge, about 10.45am.
A police spokesperson said it appeared the boat had become beached.
"Everyone is out of the boat and there are a few people with minor injuries."
Go Orange Acting General Manager Russell Thomas said emergency services were called and the Harbour Master informed.
"Five people were treated at the scene for minor injuries with one taken to hospital for further assessment," Thomas said.
"Our immediate concern is for our passengers and staff involved."
They had all now been moved from the area and those affected were being provided support.
"The safety of our visitors and staff is a priority in everything we undertake," he said.
"A full review of the incident will occur and the company is working closely with authorities."
Jetboat operations will not be running for the rest of day.
