Emergency services in Queenstown have responded to reports of two people in trouble on Lake Wakatipu.
A police media spokesperson confirmed it received a report of two people in an aluminium boat who "appeared to be having trouble in the water".
They were seen in the water on the Bay View Rd side, below Mincher Rd near a white launch moored to the jetty.
Queenstown-Lakes district harbourmaster Marty Black told the Otago Daily Times the search has come to an end.
A police media statement said: "We ask that anyone who may have seen the two swimmers reach shore contact police, or if you know who they are please ask them to get in touch with Queenstown police on (03) 441 1600."
