The Red Bull Homerun will see 250 entrants — from amateurs to pros — race from the top of the mountain to the bottom in a mass-start event.
The event’s open to snow enthusiasts ranging from complete newbies to world champions, including Nico Porteous, who describes it as "an epic event".
He’ll be joined by Queenstown snow athletes Alice Robinson and Cool Wakushima.
Prizes include Atomic skis for the fastest male and female skier and and a Burton snowboard for the fastest man and woman in that category, and something for the best-dressed.
Entry costs $20 and includes Remarkables chair access, from noon till the race start at 2pm, a Homerun beanie and bib, and entry to the after-party.
