An Auckland man has pleaded not guilty to a charge of dangerous driving causing death and two other charges relating to a fatal Queenstown crash.
Jiaxuan Goh (24), who lives in Parnell, allegedly caused the death of Susan Cullen in a head-on car crash on February 13.
Mrs Cullen (49), an Australian, was pronounced dead at the scene on Gibbston Highway (SH6), near the Crown Range turn-off, despite the efforts of emergency services staff.
Goh is also charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing injury, to Terry Cullen and Jia Xin Neo. The Cullens were on holiday in the resort.
Goh, through his lawyer Louise Denton, entered three not-guilty pleas to the charges on Friday. He did not appear in court.
The charge of dangerous driving causing death carries a maximum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment and a $20,000 fine.
Dangerous driving causing injury carries a five-year maximum prison term and a $20,000 fine.
Goh was remanded for a case review hearing in the Queenstown District Court in May.
