Kingston Flyer back on market

A Queenstown tourism broker who has re-listed the historic Kingston Flyer train is confident it can be sold this time.

Tourism Properties.com's Adrian Chisholm this week listed the Flyer and associated land and buildings for $2million.

Vendor David Bryce stopped operating the train three years ago and has spurned several offers to buy the operation.

Mr Chisholm said what had changed were the opportunities Kingston had from being on the Around the Mountains Cycle Trail and the fact the town was "finally going to become a player in the residential market as an outlying suburb of Queenstown''.

He believed the likely buyer would be someone involved in the Queenstown tourism sector.
