Gay Ski Week NZ ended on a high note, when about 350 holidaymakers rocked Revolver for the closing party on Saturday.

The White Out Party featured Sydney drag queen and DJ Kitty Glitter on the decks and capped an "amazing" week for about 900 visitors to Queenstown from around New Zealand, Australia and as far away as Scotland and Texas, creative director Craig Lawson said yesterday.

"People are raving about it and we've already got bookings for next year."

Revellers enjoyed themselves, despite the arrival of up to 200 being delayed by the earthquake affecting Christchurch Airport.

Partygoers had "drunk the town dry" of one sponsor's products and they almost ran out of another.

Drinks supplies had also been affected by the Canterbury earthquake.

Mr Lawson said this year's highlights included the outside DNA pool party, which was held earlier at the Oakridge Resort, in warm weather.

Hosting a sold-out performance by the Topp Twins, at the Rydges Lakeland Resort, on Thursday, was "a dream come true" for Gay Ski Week, Mr Lawson said.

They had wanted to book Jools and Lynda Topp for years and now they could, because the event had become big enough, he said.
