Enjoying Queenstown Primary School's annual fair on Saturday are (from left) Johnny McBride (9), Jake Hutchins (9), Ollie Walker (9) and Davi Valle (8).

The fair raised more than $40,000 towards a spider web climbing frame.

Hundreds of people turned out in fine weather for the fair at the school playground in Robins Rd.

"We had a brilliant day. There were so many people there, I couldn't believe it," principal Fiona Cavanagh said.

"It's the nicest weather we've had for the past five years," she said.

"It was a huge community effort. Every staff member attended yesterday, helping the children operate stalls," Ms Cavanagh said.
