Police in Queenstown have made a third arrest in a week over drug supply.
Yesterday, a 33-year-old man was charged with supplying ecstasy, LSD, cannabis and ketamine.
He was remanded in custody and would appear in the Queenstown District Court on July 27, a police spokeswoman said.
He was arrested on Monday. The spokeswoman confirmed the arrest was connected to two German nationals who were charged with drug offences last week.
The pair had been staying at Deco Backpackers when a police raid uncovered more than 2.5kg of cannabis, having an estimated street value of $40,000 to $60,000.
The hostel owner said the Germans’ stay had been terminated immediately and he was fully supportive of the police.
He said the men had stayed at the hostel throughout lockdown.
It is understood a dog unit was used during the bust.
