Rental car rolls on Devil's Staircase

The driver and sole occupant of a rental car has escaped injury after hitting a rock bank and overturning on State Highway 6 this morning between Queenstown and Kingston today.

The crash occurred about 9.30am near the Devils Staircase lookout, about 28km south of Frankton, and reduced traffic to one lane for nearly two hours.

No other vehicle was involved.
