A line of about 200 vehicles stretches around a rugby field at a drive-through Covid-19 vaccination clinic at the Queenstown Events Centre yesterday.

It was the second full day of operation at the clinic, which began with a trial run on Monday, during which 85 vaccinations were given.

Organiser Debbie Swain-Rewi said 150 vaccination injections were given on Tuesday and by early yesterday afternoon, about 200 people had been vaccinated.

She was ‘‘absolutely thrilled’’ and not surprised by the public’s response.

The clinic will continue operating daily, from 10am, until Saturday.

It is open to anyone aged 12 and older, and bookings are not required.
