A 21-year-old Cromwell man is expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court today charged with carrying an imitation firearm after allegedly firing a BB gun at a member of the public on Saturday evening.
Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said the man was a passenger in a vehicle on Ballarat St when he fired the pistol-style gun out the window in the direction of the complainant about 5pm.
Police found the vehicle and arrested the man, who admitted to "waving the BB gun around" but denied firing it.
