Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, was marked for the fourth year in Queenstown, supported by the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust and Queenstown Lakes District Council.
The free event featured all sorts of entertainment from a variety of different cultures.
The Queenstown Diwali Night has grown exponentially since its inception - from 70 guests in 2014 - and there are plans afoot to make it even bigger next year.
Bhartiya Samin Queenstown vice-president Poonam Sethi said the group was contemplating moving next year's celebration to the Queenstown Events Centre in order to cater for a larger crowd.
"It's become like an annual celebration where everybody waits for us to tell them [when it's going to be held].''
