England teams enjoying preparing at resort

World-class facilities and scenery in Queenstown have helped the England women’s cricket teams prepare for their upcoming series against the White Ferns.

Both the England team and the England A team have enjoyed seeing the sights of Queenstown.

Spending the past five days in Queenstown, the team have enjoyed activities such as the Shotover Jet, helicopter rides, hiking and cycling in between training.

Wicketkeeper Bess Heath said she was happy to be in such a scenic environment and getting involved with what Queenstown had to offer.

"Queenstown had been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember."

Coach Alex Gidman said reconnecting on and off the field in a place with not only amazing facilities but also stunning scenery was very special for the side.

The training facilities at John Davies Oval were world class, he said.

The England women’s team will be playing the New Zealand A side tomorrow, at the John Davies Oval in Queenstown, as a warm-up match before the side faces the White Ferns next Tuesday at the University of Otago Oval in Dunedin.
