What the public thinks of plans to expand Queenstown Airport is expected to become clear today.
Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) communications manager Jen Andrews said yesterday public submissions on the corporation's proposal to expand noise boundaries around the airport would be made public late this morning.
The proposal was put out for consultation in July as part of QAC's plan to handle increased traffic over the next 30 years.
The proposed noise boundaries would allow annual passenger movements to increase from 2.05 million to about 5.1 million, and the number of scheduled aircraft movements to rise to 41,600 a year from 21,000.
