Arrowtown's new role as the hub of cycling in the Southern Lakes will be one of the assets promoted when Discover Arrowtown attends Trenz, in Auckland this month.
The Discover Arrowtown booth, organised by the Arrowtown Promotion and Business Association, will be operated by association chairman David Clarke, deputy chairman Scott Julian and Queenstown Trails Trust chief executive Kaye Parker.
Discover Arrowtown and 25 fellow Wakatipu operators will set up shop for the April 21-24 event. They will be among 250 national tourism operators exhibiting and meeting 280 invited international travel and tourism buyers, plus international and domestic media delegates, in the New Zealand tourism industry's annual showcase.
''Last year was our first year attending Trenz ... and we've already seen the benefits in numbers in Arrowtown,'' Discover Arrowtown project manager Sue Patterson said.
''It's important we continue to attend.''
