A public unveiling of the road map for Wakatipu health services, devised by the National Health Board (NHB) after almost four months of consultation, will be made this Monday.
The Wakatipu Health Services Expert Panel will host a meeting in the City Impact Church, Frankton, at 7.30pm.
The panel said the purpose of the meeting was to present the recommendations on the findings of its members who reviewed health services in the Wakatipu Basin.
The panel also intended to release the report before the Southern District Health Board meeting in Queenstown on Friday, September 2.
New Zealand Medical Association immediate past-chairman Dr Peter Foley, as panel chairman, with panellists consumer advocate David Russell and emergency physician Dr Angela Pitchford, plus their support team, were completing their report to the NHB on the best structure for primary and secondary health services for the greater Queenstown area.
The panel had completed a series of forums, health sector meetings and workshops.
Dr Foley said last week the report was more than 80 pages long and contained "major recommendations in every area" and more than 20 different "sub-recommendations".
The recommendations were intended to provide certainty of which healthcare provisions were offered by the Southern DHB, Dr Foley said.
"You will know for certain in terms of hospital services, in terms of a plan for the future, in terms of how the Wakatipu will work in the region covered by the Southern DHB."
Residents would be able to give feedback to the DHB on the report, but it would not be altered once made public.
