Nomads Queenstown Backpackers has been named the best hostel in New Zealand by public voters in the annual "Hoscar" awards.
The Church St "flashpackers", which opened in July 2009, also came second in the Oceania division, which is between hostels in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
