A single-car crash outside the Lone Star Restaurant on Cardrona Valley Rd yesterday caused minor injuries to the tourist occupants.

Senior Sergeant Allan Grindell said the car had reportedly rolled off the road.

Constable Martin Barham attended but could not be contacted yesterday afternoon for more details.

It was the 10th minor vehicle accident in the area during the past week.

• The Lake Hawea Fire Brigade was called to Camp Hill Rd to investigate reports of smoke.

Lake Hawea Fire Chief Doug Brenssell could not be contacted yesterday afternoon for more details.

• Const Ingrid Glendining said in a weekly Crime Line report yesterday that Wanaka police had mainly dealt with damage and disorder jobs, assaults and vehicle crashes during the past holiday week.

Police had investigated eight damage and disorder jobs, five assault complaints and processed three drivers for excess breath-alcohol.

There were three arrests for disorderly behaviour and one person was taken into custody for detoxification on New Year's Eve.

Two theft complaints were taken. A vehicle was broken into at Fantail Falls, on State Highway 6 near the Gates of Haast and two backpacks were recovered from the lake.

• The naked tramper reported walking the Outlet Track on December 28 has still not been found.

He was about 40-50 years old, balding, about 170cm tall and of slim build.

"This behaviour is not appropriate and we would like any sightings of this person reported immediately so he can be apprehended," Const Glendining said.
