Incoming Queenstown Lakes mayor Vanessa Van Uden said yesterday a summary of the controversial Queenstown Airport share deal would be given to her new team of councillors.
But she stopped short of saying they would revisit July's Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) and Auckland International Airport Ltd (AIAL) deal.
Approached for comment on recent media reports the sale was to be reviewed by the QLDC, including defending a High Court case seeking a judicial review, Ms van Uden said: "We are going to prepare a summary of everything to present to all of the new councillors ...
I can't say what we can and can't do."
"
When asked if the council would oppose further share deals by QAC, she said: "At this stage, I can't confirm ... although, when plans are agreed I am supporting a full open consultation with [the] community."
Ms van Uden made her comments after her opening address to the New Zealand Airport Conference in Queenstown yesterday.
