St John to benefit from launch

The Wakatipu St John service has received $10,500 from Novartis Animal Health after a product launch in Queenstown.

When Mt Nicholas Station owner Robert Butson hosted the global launch of Novartis' new sheep drench product, the company asked him to choose a local charity to benefit from a charity auction of the company's donation of the first Zolvix product available.

Mr Butson chose to support the local St John service because it would benefit most of the community.

St John Queenstown operations team manager Alana Reid said the donation would be put to good use.

"It is great to get this sort of unrestricted donation, which is not tied to a specific project."
