People in Queenstown woke up to a white world yesterday, as last week's series of snowstorms continued, leaving a layer of snow down to lake level.
Although the snow that fell in town quickly turned to slush, that did not put off crowds of enthusiastic holiday-makers and residents, out to make the most of the biggest snowfall of the year so far.
Many domestic and international flights in and out of the Queenstown Airport were cancelled and further snow was forecast for today.
